Art Print Information
The giclée golfing prints are individually produced high-resolution reproduction prints produced on special large format printers. We print at high resolutions of 1440 printed dots per inch (dpi) on satin and gloss papers, fine art paper and canvases.
The giclée print process is recognised by the Fine Arts Trade Guild as a medium of the very highest quality for the reproduction of art prints that accurately display the artist’s true purpose.
Our prints are far superior to low priced traditional lithographic prints and posters which are typically printed at 300dpi. The images on the site are low resolution thumbnails but each print is produced from a high resolution file by our own staff and machines in Bletchley. We guarantee that you will receive superb gallery quality fine art prints in the fastest possible turnaround time.

Fine Art Print Perspectives
The original images are a variety of shapes and sizes. Where the aspect ratio of the selected print does not match the selected print paper size, the print will be made to maximize the size of the print on the paper, i.e. the longest edge of the print will match the longest edge of the paper.
We are pleased to accept enquiries for special fine art print sizes, substrates and other services such as laminating, varnishing and mounting. Please email Printree at email@example.com or call on 01908 363439.
We use is an Instant Dry Canvas WR 350 Satin - 350 g/m² - a single side satin coated Artistic Canvas especially suited for giclee reproductions of art and photos. It has a good colour-brilliance and a bleached backside for that extra noble touch. Due to the presence of natural cotton in the base material, the surface characteristic may vary slightly. We apply two coats of lacquer to the canvas print to better guarantee long term quality, scratch resistance and surface protection.
You can choose to have your canvas art print as a rolled or as a framed stretched - a box canvas print, supplied with fixings ready to hang.
Unframed Canvas Art Prints
We print directly on to the canvas and then lacquer the surface and then, when perfectly dry, roll the print and place it in a strong cardboard tube for shipping. Rolled canvas prints are shipped with a 75mm white space around the image to enable you to have it stretched yourself.
Framed Canvas – Box Canvas Prints
We print directly on to the canvas and then lacquer the surface. The canvas print is then carefully stretched over a custom-made wooden frame to create a box canvas ready for you to hang. The image is not wrapped around the edge of the frame - we print with a sufficient margin to enable the image to be seen on the front of the frame leaving a white canvas on the sides.
For box canvas frames up to sizes A2 (420 x 594mm, 16.5' x 23.4') we use 22 mm stretcher bars; for sizes A1 (594 x 841mm/ 23.4' x 33') and above we incorporate a central crossbar for structural integrity. Each frame includes expansion wedges at each corner so that the frame can always be re-stretched to keep the canvas taut. In all cases we use warp-resistant wood to make the frames.
The largest standard framed stretched canvas print we currently produce is AO (841 x 1189mm/ 33' x 46.8'); please contact us if you have any special requirements.
